Show notes Episode 27

The Final Countdown

We are just 14 days out from Walt Disney World!
Eric seems to be suddenly, and shockingly, ok with this fact.
Kristin has joined us for this show, she’s most excited about the rides at Disney.
FYI: Six Flags is teh ghay.
Slow jerking is the cause of and solution to all of life’s problems.
Matt created the term “dumbfuckery” when he discovered dumbfuckery in his department at work.
Eric and Steven accuse Matt of lying about a dude with a hole in his chest.
But then they find it.
Steven never got to go as a kid…he had bathroom problems.
Royce pops in and informs us that he now lives on his own.
Royce is getting married to Gloria the weekend that Matt and Steven will be in Disney World. Suspicious, no?
You have to let nudity happen.
Fall Out Boy are all assholes, because they have a song named “Thriller” that’s NOT the Michael Jackson version.
Royce starts being very racist again. And gross.
Matt’s having issues with being Jewish. Passover didn’t go so well.
Steven confuses seders and Mantaur.

WooJew gets into a religious discussion. Jesus Christ.
Eric isn’t good with words. He would like to reneg a comment…however, he believes the word is renig…You can only assume that troubles occur.
KFC bowls are just a “failure pile in a sadness bowl.”
Eric claims that even though he is dating someone, he won’t abandon WooJew. Let’s see…
The boys talk about killing Royce. In front of Royce.
Eric chokes Royce out…again.
Matt is a fuckhead. He buys videogames and only plays them maybe once.
We’re taking the next two weeks off, but we will be back when Matt and Steven return from Walt Disney World!

Apocalypticrazy 2!

I got my copy of the U.S. Worlds Collide this morning and found a nice little surprise. “I’m Not Jesus” has been remixed as well, and the newer version is on the U.S. album. Very much like “I Don’t Care”, the vocals have been pumped up, and the guitars have been amped up. This newer version of “I’m Not Jesus” will hopefully make it’s way onto WooJew The Music Volume 1.

Apocalypticrazy!

Last week Apocalyptica finally released the album Worlds Collide in the United States. I’ve had a European copy since last September. Unlike my usual m.o., I did not pick up a copy of the U.S. release. There was, I thought, no new material. I was wrong. The reason the U.S. release was delayed so long was so they could re-record “I Don’t Care” featuring Adam Gontier of 3 Days Grace. Long time WooJew fans will recall that we played this song way back in episode 6.
I heard the new version today, and I like it. It’s punchier than the original and has alot more drumming. The lyrics themselves have changed a bit as well. I’m gonna end up buying a copy of the “I Don’t Care” single, or the U.S. Worlds Collide (whichever is cheaper) so I can get the new version. Here’s the video for it, and this features the new U.S. mix of the song.
I Don’t Care

Bittersweet

I picked up a different Apocalyptica CD this morning, however. Yesterday Universal Records domestically released the 2006 best of compilation, Amplified: A Decade Of Reinventing The Cello. It’s a 2 disc set with one disc dedicated to instrumentals and one to vocal cuts. I have roughly half of the tracks already, but the new ones made it totally worth it. On the instrumental side are many Metallica covers, including Enter Sandman, One, Nothing Else Matters and Master Of Puppets. Over on the vocal side are my favorite songs of the bunch. Repressed is a new track that features vocalists from Sepultura and Bullet For My Valentine. I was really surprised with how much I like this track.  Among my favorites on this disc are Life Burns featuring Lauri Ylonen of the Rasmus, and Bittersweet featuring Lauri and Ville Valo. Bittersweet was the song that got me into Apocalyptica, and it’s nice to have it on here. If you’re new to Apocalyptica, check out this set or Worlds Collide. You won’t be disapointed.

“I’m Not Jesus” featuring Corey Taylor will be on WooJew The Music: Volume 1. E-Mail your name and address to matt@woojew.com to request a copy. CDs will ship in May.

Show Notes Episode 26

Steven’s house burnt down. Kristin did it.
Well, not really.
We’re 26 days away from Disney! (at time of recording)
Can the boys “neutralize” a person with baking soda?
Matt likes to pull down his pants in the WooJew studio so that people can “experience Matt”
If Matt left WooJew, it would turn into WooSnugs! or SnugWoo!
Amber calls Matt while he’s on the air, again.
Eric won LP associate of the month at his job. Way to go Eric!
Steven is going to buy his wrestling ring…soon!
Steven only has 4 days of class left between now and graduation!
The guys start looking up “Mickey Mouse porn”. Somehow we came across this photo as well:

When we come back from the first song, Eric and Matt consider getting naked…what, it’s hot in the studio!
Sleeping Beauty has an actual name…Steve Leaping Beauty.
Eric doesn’t quite care. He seems to be angry about the Disney trip. Odd.
Steven would like to take Kristin on a cruise…so as to send her overboard. The boys go over plans.
Eric’s parents don’t like him, like he don’t like us.
3 things everyone should do: Fly on a plane, do drugs, do a prostitute.
Matt wants to do all 3 at once.
Matt’s hands suddenly smell like chlorine.

Show notes Episode 25

My computer is retarded and lost my show notes. I had them typed and saved, but now it’s telling me that the file path is incorrect. It somehow saved them to my jump drive, which was not connected at the time. Fucking Windows Vista.

Really, all you need to know is that someone had a clit-ring emergency. Yep. That’s it.

Clitastrophy 2008!

This week we played:

“Little Drop Of Poison” by Tom Waits
From the Shrek 2 soundtrack

“Cross My Heart And Hope To Die” by Sentenced
From the album, Cold White Light

BOB SAGET!
